Can I rent a 125cc scooter in Portugal without Driving License A?
Yes, if you have a Driving License B and at least 25 years old.
Do you offer rentals across all cities in Algarve?
We aim to offer scooter and motorbike rentals across all the main cities in Algarve. You can see which ones are available under Locations page. If it doesn’t have a “coming soon” banner, it’s already available. Click on Book now to check the offer in that location.
What is the minimum age to rent a scooter?
That differs from location to location (partners). Some of them allow you to drive a scooter from the moment you have a driving license. Some others require minimum 2 years experience. We advise to read through the description of each product.
Is a credit card required to book with you?
No. To guarantee your booking you can pay your deposit via bank transfer. However some partners might require a credit card for a deposit (excess/own risk). Check on the product description if you need one.
Is a deposit using credit card always required?
Not always. We work with some partners who don’t take deposits and with some others who take deposits accepting cash or debit card. Please read the product description.
Do I need to use the same credit card I used for the reservation to pick-up my vehicle?
No. You can use any credit card to secure your booking with Algarve Moto Rent. However, a credit card under the main driver’s name might be required upon vehicle pick-up (in case our partner require one). If is not described in the product description that you must have a credit card for a deposit, then don’t worry about it.
Do I need to pay for extras upfront?
No. You can add your extras like different location, pick-up/drop-off outside the free period, helmet and other equipment without having to pay upon reservation. These can be paid later in person.
Can I take my rental to another city (location)?
Depends on the location you are renting from. Some partners allow, some don’t. If not clear on the product description, please contact us to clarify.
What is required to secure my booking?
To secure your reservation a 15% deposit is required (in some cases more, depending on the product). The remainder can be paid upon collection of the vehicle using cash, debit or credit card. Our cancellation policy is 48 hours before pick-up.
